If you want an SUV that is good for more than just road driving, the Toyota 4Runner is always an option. Since 1995 the 4Runner has taken the mid-size SUV slot in the Toyota lineup, larger than the C-HR, RAV4, and Venza, but smaller than the Highlander, Land Cruiser, and Sequoia.
The 2021 preserves the classic look of SUVs before the crossover craze took over, while still showing off a smart, sharp front end. While the outside does remind one of the oldest SUVs, the inside is by no means behind the times. The infotainment screen is integrated into the dashboard and all other elements of the interior give off a sense of the rugged capability and sturdy dependability people expect from a 4Runner. Use the table below to determine if it is up to your standards for engine specifications, safety technology, and interior features.

The 2021 model year doesn’t bring a lot of changes, but it is still based on a design that is more than ten years old. While a redesign may be in the near future, the engine, interior technology, and standard safety equipment make the design irrelevant. It’s still the SUV it should be in its bones, thanks to its off-road capability and ample seating and cargo space.
