The 2021 Toyota Corolla has arrived, offering Corolla fans and anyone else interested in the compact sedan up to six trim level options. Although there is a hybrid version of the 2021 Toyota Corolla, this page will refer strictly to trims available for the 2021 Toyota Corolla.
The six trim levels range from the most basic L trim to the XSE, for a difference of just over $5,000 between them. The L trim is obviously a great option for anyone who wants to buy a new car for a starting MSRP of less than $20,000. Those who want more technology, a sportier exterior, or more entertainment and comfort features should explore the other trims. The chart below lists the highlights and available features of the six main trims for the gasoline-powered 2021 Toyota Corolla.
Trim Level | Highlight 1 | Highlight 2 |
L |
Lowest starting price | Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.0 |
LE |
Automatic Climate Control | Remote Keyless Entry |
SE |
Dynamic-Shift CVT with Paddle Shifters | Premium Sport Seats with Sport Fabric Inserts |
SE Nightshade Edition |
Blacked-Out Badging, Accents, and 18-Inch Alloy Wheels | Sport Mesh Black Front Grille with Black Bumper and Surround |
XLE |
Premium Audio with JBL® Speakers | SofTex®-Trimmed Heated Front Seats |
XSE |
Adaptive Front Lighting System | Gray Metallic Sport Side Rocker Panels and Rear Spoiler |
An advantage to going for the higher trim levels is that Toyota isn’t pricing the luxury features as high as other automakers often do. The XSE trim does not cost as much as a luxury trim often costs for a compact car. Still, for those who want to reign in spending, the LE and even SE trims are priced so competitively that the stingiest buyers won’t regret the extra features.
