Hybrid Efficiency Meets Rugged Capability: The 2025 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid

Exterior Features

Wheels

The Tacoma’s wheel options come in a wide variety of styles, with a choice between 17-inch or 18-inch wheels done in black alloy, bronze, chrome, or steel. The Tacoma hybrid base-model TRD Sport i-FORCE MAX comes with 18-inch TRD Sport alloy wheels, the Limited i-FORCE MAX features 18-inch chrome-finished alloy wheels, and the top-trim TRD Pro boasts 18-inch black alloy wheels.

LED Lighting

Each Tacoma hybrid includes bed lighting, manual-leveling automatic on/off headlights with integrated daytime running lights, and fog lights. The TRD Pro features sequential LED turn signals, scene lighting built into the bed, and Rigid Industries premium LED fog lights.

Effortless All-Terrain Performance

Each 2025 Tacoma hybrid proudly houses Toyota’s 2.4-liter turbocharged i-FORCE MAX inline-four hybrid powertrain with 326 horsepower at 6,000 RPM and 465 lb-ft of torque at 1,700 RPM. The included eight-speed automatic transmission is electronically controlled and features a sequential shift mode as well as downhill/uphill shifting logic for deft maneuvering on and off the road.

The TRD Sport i-FORCE MAX and TRD Pro include a 4WDemand part-time four-wheel drivetrain with an electronically controlled two-speed transfer case featuring low and high ranges. The Limited i-FORCE MAX is equipped with a full-time four-wheel drivetrain with an electronic locking center differential. While all hybrid models include a double-wishbone independent front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension with a coil spring, the Limited i-FORCE MAX also boasts an Adaptive Variable Suspension system.

Off-Roading Specs

The TRD Pro features a TRD performance cold-air intake system and a twin-scroll turbocharger, which includes an air-cooled intercooler and wastegate valve control. The intake system allows the engine to generate more horsepower, the intercooler boosts engine efficiency, and wastegate valve control optimizes power delivery to prevent overboosting.

Toyota Safety Sense

Each 2025 Tacoma hybrid comes with the latest version of this safety suite. The bundle includes Automatic High Beams, a Pedestrian Detection Pre-Collision System, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Proactive Driving Assist, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, and Road Sign Assist.
